Capoeira

Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance and music. It is known by quick and complex moves, using mainly power, speed, and leverage for leg sweeps.

Music is integral to Capoeira. It sets the tempo and style. Typically the music is formed by instruments and singing. Rhythm, controlled by a typical instrument called berimbau, differ from very slow to very fast, depending on the style.

Capoeira Runs Tuesday 7:00-9:30pm

If you would like to know more about Capoeira or join the session please come in and speak to the group leader.

Conscious Dancing

Dance is one of the oldest most natural forms of movement and expression.

It’s fun; a great workout; it connects your mind with your body, and at the same time clears your mind, for a short time, of all the everyday clutter.

No steps to learn
(improvise your own!)

You can't get it wrong, or right - its a 'freestyle' dance
 - a chance to improvise your own dance moves!

Come to be yourself

Come to be with others

Dance like nobody's watching!

Great dance floor

Great variety of music -
'world', pop, techno, latin, swing

All welcome -
this is something anyone can do!

Wednesday nights at 7pm (£3)
